Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability (LARC)
March 2022 - Present
I am developing a public health campaign distributed by the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, creating materials that share strategies, stories, and resources that will educate and empower communities in Los Angeles County to tackle extreme heat. I gather and analyze existing public health resources and research to better understand community-based heat mitigation strategies and develop campaign materials from them. I also receive feedback from local community partners, public health entities, and community members throughout the project in creating and disseminating materials.
Koreatown Youth and Community Center
October 2021 - December 2021
Taught and assisted in classroom activities in KYCC's youth programs. Knowing my experiences in Koreatown have been limited to Korean immigrant communities, I chose KYCC in order to familiarize myself with other ethnic communities that actually lived in Koreatown.

Making Housing and Community Happen

Designed and organized the Overlay Zoning for Affordable Housing campaign materials with affordable housing advocates in my hometown of Pasadena, CA.
Safe Place for Youth
February 2022 - March 2022
With a team of students, I conducted research on existing programs in Los Angeles to provide recommendations for SPY's current program coordinators to help prepare and connect unhoused youth to advocacy opportunities.
